Ramona Davoudpour, M.D. FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician with years of clinical experience in private practice. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Davoudpour grew up in Los Angeles, California. After graduating high school as a National Merit Finalist and Scholar, she attended the Baccalaureate MD Program at the University of Southern California, where she obtained a degree in Biological Sciences with Honors and Fine Arts. She graduated summa cum laude, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and was distinguished as a Renaissance Scholar upon graduation.

She then obtained her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and completed her pediatric residency at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center, Mattel Children’s Hospital. She has since been a practicing pediatrician in the community.

She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three young children.

Mission

After spending numerous years in private practice, Dr. Davoudpour realized that the fifteen-minute traditional pediatric office visit is insufficient to appropriately address all the questions and concerns that arise for new parents, particularly during their baby’s first year of life. Parents are often left to rely on information gathered from the internet, which can be quite overwhelming and may be brimming with misinformation.

Dr. Davoudpour founded Tiny Apricot to serve as a supplementary source of evidence-based education and support for new parents in the hopes to empower and encourage them along on their new journey. As a consultant pediatrician, she plans to address questions with ample time – a privilege not commonly afforded during a routine office visit. She will not be replacing the baby’s general pediatrician, family physician, or medical home. Rather, she hopes to serve as an adjunct when parents seek extra support.

As a mother of three, she knows first-hand both the joys and the trials of welcoming a new baby, whether it be the first time or not. It can be overwhelming and isolating. However, by providing parents with the right educational tools and resources, she hopes to alleviate some of that stress so that they may reclaim the joy of parenthood – to revel in the day-to-day triumphs and to delight in all the milestones of those fleeting first few months.
